Located on the ground floor, this comfortable guest room also features a dramatic portrait over the antique four-poster Queen size bed and handsome built-in book shelves with an impressive collection of Civil War titles. Enjoy the westward facing sunset and Battlefield views. Can comfortably sleep 3 with the addition of a futon.

General Robert E. Lee, CSA. Commander, Army of Northern Virginia. Lee established his headquarters in a stone house on the Cashtown Road just south of the Doubleday Inn. Also of note, in October 1990 Bob Hope rented the entire Doubleday Inn for the 100th anniversary of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s birth. Bob Hope himself slept in the Robert E. Lee Room during his stay.
