This spacious, light and airy second floor guest room now features a Queen size bed and boasts the best Battlefield view in all of Gettysburg with both eastward and westward facing windows. Also offers a very large private bath.
Brigadier General Alfred Iverson, Jr., CSA Iverson brigade marched blindly and unaccompanied into the Union lines on Oak Ridge. His brigade suffered heavy casualties, with many of the men dropping dead in a straight line from the surprise volley of Union rifle fire. The men were later buried in shallow graves on this spot on Oak Ridge, which is known as Iverson's Pits. This area can be seen from this room, and Iverson’s Pits is a great place to meet a ghost.
Iverson is on the second floor, adjacent to the O'Neal & Paul Rooms
